TEDxBME 2025 is the second ever TEDx event at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. It is a special opportunity to participate in an internationally renowned event and be a part of history.
We aim to provide a platform for everyone of any background to speak up and make a positive change in this world. So, if you’re not afraid of public speaking and you think your idea needs to be heard by thousands of people, fill out the application form!
Remember, the main phrase of TEDx is “Ideas worth spreading”. Don’t hesitate to share your idea with us.
The speaker call is open for everyone of any background. You don’t need to be a student at BME or satisfy any particular criteria to become our official speaker.
Our most important requirement is having a great idea and the ability to share it, while following the official TEDx guidelines.

We review our applicants in a rolling basis, that means the faster your application goes in, the faster we will review your documents and ideas.
However, please don't rush your application. Handing in your documents early only means a faster response time from us and will not provide a competitive edge over other applicants. Please prepare your application with care.
After the public call is announced and the applicants have applied, all submissions are analyzed and screened. The applicants which were chosen are called for an interview and the final speakers are chosen. The last stage of this process is speech rehearsals and finalization of the talks.
The event is expected to happen on Sunday, 11th of May 2025. For our applicants, please bear in mind of this date and schedule your time accordingly.
